Largest project in the company’s history Diego de Almagro – Chile
With a total capacity of 233 MWp, this bifacial optimised PV tracker project in the Atacama Desert in Chile is the largest project in the company’s history.
This plant produces enough electricity to supply around 55,000 Chilean households with electricity. The total construction time was just under 11 months, and after 6 months the first trackers were already in operation. Covering an area of more than 330 hectares, 5,849 trackers were installed – equipped with 470,205 modules and 46 WTC (Wireless tracker controller). Cleaning of the modules is possible during the night, as the modules can be placed in the cleaning position using the ZIM Track battery Add-On. At the time of completion, this PV tracker project was the largest PV project in Chile.
